Justin Timberlake delivered a halftime performance at the superbowl, but there wasn’t something right about it and angered fans across the world.
What happened was that Timberlake decided to feature video of the late icon Prince protected onto a giant white curtain. Timberlake at the time sat at a white piano and performed I Would Die 4 U along with the star’s vocals.
Before the big day, reports circulated claiming this year’s halftime performer was planning to use a hologram of Prince, inciting a rejection from Prince’s former collaborator Sheila E.
“Prince told me don’t ever let anyone do a hologram of me. Not cool if this happens!” she tweeted on Saturday ahead of the show.”
Even though there was no hologram, fans are stunned that Justin would sidestep the legend’s wishes to do a gig, technologically.
